Transitions of care

[Relevant certification criteria: §§ 170.314(b)(1) and (2).]

Allows veEDIS users to send and receive Direct-based messages to/from other users of certified health IT systems.

Our Direct offerings support related Meaningful Use and ONC requirements for sending and receiving transitions of care summary documents.

A one-time implementation fee and ongoing, flat monthly maintenance fee applies per install. If the user desires to integrate the certified product with another 3rd party system (outside of the host EMR), then a separate one-time interface fee and flat monthly maintenance fee will apply per integration. For example, if the user desitred to integrate the product with an HIE.

Pursuant to veEDIS' security policy, the Direct messaging capability is restricted and users will be unable to exchange messages with users with whom the developer does not have a trust agreement.

Should a provider wish to establish a new connection with a third-party, provider must lodge a service request identifying the third-party party along with contact information. veEDIS will establish, maintain and support technology to manage the connection. Third-party HISPs must agree to veEDIS' connection and trust agreement. veEDIS will make every effort in good faith to establish such connectivity within a reasonable time frame (no longer than 3 months). However, we do not warrant that veEDIS will be able to establish agreements and required connections with all third-party HISPs.

veEDIS' SOAP capabilities are limited to 170.314 (b)(2). We do not currently support receiving (b1) transitions of care via SOAP.
