veEDIS Clinical Systems Deploys 2014 ONC Certified Version

Date: April 22, 2014

veEDIS continues its 20-year history of pioneering “meaningful” data capture in the Emergency Department with deployment of its 2014 Meaningful Use Certified version.

Plantation, Florida - veEDIS Clinical Systems, LLC continues deployment this week of its veEDIS v2, the company’s proprietary Emergency Department Information System (EDIS), which was certified earlier this year under the Drummond Group’s Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. This EHR software is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The new version of veEDIS will provide the hospital with advanced capabilities and benefits designed to facilitate greater coordination of patient care, reduce medical errors, eliminate duplicate screenings and tests, and create greater patient engagement. This initial Stage 2 Meaningful Use Certified Electronic Health Record Technology upgrade is being provided at no cost to existing veEDIS clients.

“For more than 20 years, we have been committed to providing our clients with a feature-rich and content-complete Emergency Department Information System,” said veEDIS President and CEO Tom Grossjung.” “This 2014 Edition ONC Certified Health Information Technology will help our clients successfully attest and demonstrate to Meaningful Use Stage 2, which means real, bottom-line financial incentives as outlined in the HITECH Act of 2009.”

veEDIS has been a leader in “meaningful” data capture for more than 20 years. Its reports have set the standard in the industry for decades, long before many of today’s common metrics were mandated. The company’s commitment to quality patient care and meaningful information exchange was solidified when veEDIS became one of the first EHRs to achieve Meaningful Use Stage 1 certification in 2011.
